Food and the act of eating are fundamental parts of who we are. Through food we express ourselves individually and communally; we show people how we feel about them; we show off; we indulge; we survive. In this workshop, we’ll look at how some writers incorporate the preparation and consumption of food in unexpected ways. We’ll practice going beyond the familiar family dinner scene to explore the body and its hungers, mine the sensory, and reveal and deepen character.
