Please join Abhishek and Anindita for a presentation on Bangladesh. Both are from the southern part of Bangladesh, where the world’s longest unbroken sea beach exists. They will share the glorious history of Bangladesh starting from Mughal Empire to current times, as well as the culture of Bangladesh which integrates influences of different religion and ethnicity, and manifestations in various forms including music, dance, drama, art craft, folklore folktale, languages, literature, philosophy, festivals celebrations as well as in a distinct cuisine culinary tradition. Abhishek is currently pursuing my masters at CSU in Design and Merchandising with a special focus on Smart Textile and Nanotechnology. His research focus is on building smart bandages for the wound that can change its color in the presence of Bacteria. Apart from the academic life, he loves to play drums and cycling. Also, he started to learn how to play the guitar and enjoys traveling around beautiful Colorado. Anindita moved to Fort Collins with Abhishek from Bangladesh and is searching for graduate school for her masters. Before moving here, she worked in the Development Sector of Bangladesh for 4 years in the number one NGO of the world, BRAC, in their Microfinance division. She also worked for the Rohingya Refugees as part of a program of BRAC. Before that, she worked on a project of USAID for Forest Conservation. She always had a fascination for guitar and just started learning. She also loves to travel.
