Connie Meyer has been urban homesteading since before it was a popular movement across the country. Her self-sufficient lifestyle includes backyard chickens, beekeeping, fruit and vegetable gardening, cheesemaking, wine making, canning, composting, and more.

Connie grew up in rural Iowa in a more traditional homestead (with livestock, grain crops, and huge gardens), and brings all that she learned to her Fort Collins setting, 1/3 of acre near the center of town that she and her husband, fondly referred to as Mr. Overalls, call home.
