What we can learn from Afghanistan - An Academic journey of an Afghan Graduate Student and Fulbright Scholar. The presentation will feature topics such as education, economy, women and children, how was the country before war and after war, food, music, life, marriage, sport and other social and cultural topics. Haroon moved to Fort Collins in August 2016 after receiving a Fulbright scholarship to pursue his graduate studies at CSU. In these 6 months, he had many opportunities to meet with many organizations and communities in Fort Collins, participate in social events and be a volunteer as well. This was his first time to leave his country and come to the US for studying and culture exchange purpose. His presentation will reflect on the strengths and weaknesses of both nations as lessons learned for every human being.
