El día de los niños/El día de los libros (Children's Day/Book Day), commonly known as Día, is a celebration of children, families, and reading that culminates yearly on April 30. Celebrate children and books with a Story Stroll in the children's area. See the story unfold in front of you as you make your way through the library. This is a fun, interactive, family-friendly activity.
Get smart about money during Money Smart Week (April 15-April 21) and give a guess at how many pennies are in the jar. Win the jar if you guess closest to the amount. Learn more about money at the U.S. Mint site for kid activities.
This passive program will be in the Children's area at Council Tree, Harmony, and Old Town throughout the week.
Play Scrabble! Whether you're new to the game, a casual player, or a tournament player, this is for you! Bring your board if you have one. Clocks are optional.
9:00 - 9:15 AM - Meet & greet / orientation - we'll pair up and go over any rules for people who are new to the game an/or tournament style play.
9:15 - 11:00 AM - Scrabble time!
Please note that hosted Scrabble play will end promptly at 11 am. However, you are welcome to continue playing after 11 am on your own in other library spaces.

Outreach Fort Collins hosts office hours where you can drop in for consultation and resources related to housing, food, healthcare, and other critical issues.
Outreach Fort Collins is a street-based outreach program to maintain our downtown as a safe and welcoming place while connecting our community’s most vulnerable to the services and supportive networks they need. It is a professionally staffed, on-the-street team who will build relationships with community members, service providers, businesses and city services as a means to address and deescalate disruptive behaviors downtown.
When you visit

libraries. You can check materials out, you can return materials from
any branch, you can get a library card. We can help you put materials on
hold or check the status of your holds, but we don’t deliver holds –
you will have to pick those up at one of the branches.
You can
also print, use our WiFi, or check out a Chromebook kit. We will often
have storytimes or an activity or craft. And we are always happy to help

Earth Day is just around the corner - let's do some up-cycling! Do you have a thousand race/school tees? Or tees that have fantastic slogans/images but don’t fit right? Bring in
your un-wearable t-shirts and we will help you re-purpose them! Make market
bags, dog toys, t-shirt “yarn,” headbands, and more!
Scissors,
yarn, sewing machines, etc. will all be provided, as well as extra t-shirts if
you don't have any you want to use at home.
Computer and device help from Poudre River Public Library volunteers on the 3rd Sunday of every month. Sign up is located at the library and is first come first served; bring your own device and your tech questions.

It also connects them with critical resources to create, launch and grow a business in Fort Collins.

The Partnership for Age-Friendly Communities (PAFC) is now offering Technology Clinics to active agers in our community.
We have a team of volunteers available to provide support for those needing help using their mobile phones, tablets, laptops, or desktop devices.
This clinic provides an opportunity for you to meet with your tech buddy and perhaps pick up a few pointers from questions raised by other attendees.
We are offering a tech clinic at the Harmony Library on April 22, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. There will be 40 minute sessions to answer basic technology questions. Registration is required. Bring your device, and let us see if we can help you out!

The Teen Council's Leadership Committee meets once a month to help shape the teen collection, advise on library policy, and improve library services for teens. For teens in grades 9 to 12. Application required.
