It is Banned Books Week! Celebrate Intellectual Freedom with a talk about the award-winning and frequently challenged children's author Maurice Sendak. We will take a glimpse into the amazing and quirky life of author/illustrator Maurice Sendak. What happened in Sendak’s childhood that inspired him to write his award winning and much loved book Where the Wild Things Are? An Evening with Maurice Sendak by Cheryl Miller will acquaint one with Sendak’s other famous and controversial books and present insights into one of our most prolific and famous children’s book author/illustrator. It is an interesting life for certain!
