Event Details

The ideal novel combines both a strong plot and genuine characters that readers will connect with, but it is often difficult to identify and write the ideal ending. No matter how masterfully written the story is, if the ending is a letdown it colors and minimizes everything that came before. Join author Sharon Skinner for this creative writing workshop that will provide techniques for getting to the heart of the story, finding the thematic meaning in the characters’ experiences, and discovering how character development and plot points drive the story to a satisfying conclusion. Ms. Skinner has more than 10 year's of experience in workshop facilitation. She has presented on a variety of writing topics, from grant proposal development to fantasy fiction writing. Her personable style, positive attitude and high energy keep participants engaged from start to finish. She is the author of In Case You Didn’t Hear Me the First Time (2010), The Healer’s Legacy (2012), The Nelig Stones (2013), and Mirabella and the Faded Phantom (2014).
