Love the Outdoors? Write it

1:00 PM - 2:30 PM

Event Details

We Coloradoans love the outdoors – camping, fishing, burning our feet on the great Sand Dunes or wandering by the river. Feeling deeply connected to places often warrants expression; many nature-lovers seek a way to communicate their ideas/bonds/hopes to a larger audience. However, there’s a real trick in rendering place – connecting the “external landscape” of the world to the “internal landscape” of you or your characters. In this workshop, we’ll be brainstorming and starting an essay or short story, looking at a few short examples of what contemporary nature writers are doing, and discussing how and where to publish your work. Appropriate for fiction and nonfiction, all levels.
