Please join Connie Kiehn for a presentation on Ukraine where she served as a Peace Corps Volunteer. Ukraine, the largest country entirely within Europe, and home to over 40 million people, is a beautiful place with a long history and many fascinating customs. Also known as the “bread basket” of Europe, it has endured centuries of struggle, yet the people of this intriguing country never give up hope that they will overcome whatever difficulties they encounter. Connie looks forward to sharing her journeys through Ukraine where she lived and worked with the local people for 27 months as a Peace Corps Volunteer from 2011-2013. A sample of traditional Ukrainian food will also be available to try.
