Please Join Jason Steel for a presentation on Jason Steele Peace Corps recruiter Northern Colorado and Wyoming for a presentation on Cameroon. Jason had an amazing opportunity to serve as a TEFL volunteer in Cameroon, 2000-2002. He was able to make a difference in his community by becoming an integral part of the village where he served by teaching, coaching and mentoring hundreds of students. He also trained his counterparts on the latest teaching methods he acquired through Peace Corps training. In his second year of service he was also the Environmental Representative of the Extreme Northern Province, where he founded a school newsletter and incorporated environmental themes into lesson plans. A world of opportunities opened for Jason because of his Peace Corps volunteering and after service he earned a California teaching credential and helped guide land use and tourism industry decisions for the USDA Forest Service in Alaska. He then provided opportunities for returned Peace Corps volunteers (RPCVs) to undertake short-term, high impact assignments in various programs around the world.
