Writing Workshop: Bringing Characters to Life

1:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Old Town Library
Large Meeting Room Combo

Event Details

From your hero to your villain to your comedic relief, characters are what every story is all about. Learn the key questions to ask yourself when you create the people that populate your fiction, how to build them in a dynamic, dramatic way, and of course, what to do with them once you’ve got them. From introducing them to your audience to tracking their emotions and motivations, and developing them through their inner monologue as well as their actions, this craft workshop will deliver lots of insight in the actual writing of your characters. We’ll discuss arcs, motivation, and why you never ever give your character what they want. Registration required, call 221-6740 or register online by going to the online calendar and clicking on the class title.
