Irish writer of literary fiction, Colum McCann will be speaking in Fort Collins November 9th. McCann was born in 1965 in Dublin, Ireland, and after studying journalism, worked as journalist for several Irish newspapers. In 1986, he came to the United States and spent two years bicycling around the country, getting to know its people. McCann’s Let the Great World Spin won the National Book award and was chosen as the Fort Collins Reads’ 2014 community read title. This is a ticketed event. Tickets are $10 and available at all three libraries. Reserved seating and reception with the author tickets are only available at Old Firehouse Books.
