Event Details

Join us for this exciting presentation of traditional music and dance by the Iron family, a family dance troupe featuring three generations of dancers representing the Pawnee, Crow, Navajo, Oglala, Southern Cheyenne, Kiowa, Meskwaki, and Plains Cree (from Canada) tribes. The origin of the dance is explained with a story, as well as the significance of the drum, and the responsibilities that singers and dancers have in maintaining the traditions. This lively program is sponsored by the Poudre River Friends of the Library, and is free and open to the public. In the event of inclement weather, this program will be moved inside.
